7-7-14 state aid projections

todayJuly 6, 2014

Local school districts are projected to get more state aid next school year.  According to the state Department of Public Instruction, the Fond du Lac School District will receive $2.4 million more…a 6.3 percent increase.  The Waupun School District is slated to receive .62 percent more state aid, and the North Fond du lac School District’s increase is projected to be up nearly four percent.  North Fond du Lac superintendent Aaron Sadoff says the increase won’t impact the budget.  “That helps a little bit locally, but doesn’t do anything to help us get more revenue,”  Sadoff told WFDL news.  “What that means in essence is if we get more state aid, then locally depending on what the increases are we’re looking to stabilize tax rates around here.”   DPI estimates show less state aid for Campbellsport and New Holstein schools.
