At the City Council meeting on July 9th, 2014 a motion was passed for the selection process of the Lakeside Park Exploratory Committee. A survey was sent out to City Council and Park Board members to vote for 15 of the 41 candidates.
The following 10 individuals have received the most votes and qualify for appointment:
Lori Anderson Lurvey, Patrick Caulfield, Deborah Doll, Amy Hansen, Ray Lapierre, Craig Molitor, Jennifer Neibauer, John Short, Sarah Spang and Luke Wancek.
The following 7 individuals have tied for the remaining 5 seats:
**Joan Cunningham, Louise Gudex, Brian Kolstad, Heather Peterson David Pergande, Douglas Teletzke and James Wamser.
**5 random names will be drawn out of this list at the July 23rd meeting.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
