Dodge County officials are taking issue with a paid newspaper advertisement they say is made to look like a news story. The ad, promoting the activities of Selepri Amachree appeared in the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen on Wednesday. In the advertisement Mr. Amachree is promoted as a substance abuse “interventionist” who is available in Dodge County. A passage in the paid advertisement reads as follows;
“It hasn’t taken Selepri long to make Dodge County a powerful base. Two of his greatest new supporters there are Jay Westhuis, the county’s new director of the Treatment Alternative Division (TAD), and Judge Joseph Sciascia, both of whom have worked with Selepri as he helps people of all ages battling addiction, often under court orders.”
Dodge County officials say . Amachree has no affiliation with Dodge County or its programs and does not endorse the activities or services offered by Amacrhee, and has not provided treatment or intervention pursuant to a court order in Dodge County. Judge Sciascia says. Amachree does not have permission to use his name in any advertisement or to influence pending litigation in any way.
