BROWN DEER, Wis. (AP) — Police in a Milwaukee suburb say the suspect in the stabbing of two teens is their mother. Officers were called to a home in Brown Deer early Friday morning on a 911 call that two people had been stabbed. The Journal Sentinel reports two brothers had been stabbed in a domestic dispute. An 18-year-old suffered a leg wound and a 16-year-old had cuts to his face and head. Both were taken to the hospital with non- life threatening injuries. The woman fled the home, but was later arrested in Milwaukee.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
