The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has cited five teenagers for trespassing on a town of Metomen property that is rumored to be haunted. Two 18 year old women from Fond du lac and Kewaskum and three boys from Fond du Lac, North Fond du Lac and Malone were cited for trespassing. Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says a property owner on Callan Road reported the teens making a great deal of noise. Olig says the area has a long reputation for being haunted.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
