Fond du Lac police are invstigating a report that a home health care aide stole money and personal items from a 60 year old disabled woman. According to a police report on July 9th the alleged victim contacted police to report the theft. She said the 24-year-old Fond du Lac woman came to her home to perform personal care for her and noticed one of her items in her bag when she was leaving.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
