7-22-14 dodge county sheriff’s office talks to “person of interest” in grave marker thefts

Dodge County sheriff’s investigators may be closer to making an arrest in connection with the theft of grave markers from three Dodge County cemeteries.   Sheriff  Pat Ninmann says detectives have made contact with one of two people described as persons of interest.  Ninmann says the thefts at St. Michaels cemetery, a Beaver Dam cemetery and another cemetery  in the town of Burnett appear related.   Ninmann says investigators came […]

7-22-14 fatal skydiving accident

RACINE, Wis. (AP) — Racine County sheriff's officials have identified the people involved in a fatal skydiving accident.  Authorities say 44-year-old Fredrick Platt Jr., of Racine, died Sunday afternoon when his parachute became entangled with another skydiver's canopy. The two missed their landing spot at Sylvania Airport in the Town of York.  Officials say Platt died at the scene. 7-22-14 fdl boy receives minor injuries in car vs. bike accident

A 13 year old Fond du Lac boy escaped serious injury when he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle.  The incident happened shortly before 3:30pm Monday at the intersection of Johnson and Doty Streets.  The child received some minor scrapes and was treated on the scene.
