MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin attorneys have asked the entire 7th Circuit Court of Appeals to hear their arguments on upholding the state's gay marriage ban. Ten judges sit on the 7th Circuit, but three-judge panels typically decide cases. Attorneys for the state say all 10 judges should weigh in because gay marriage is an issue of national importance.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) — State Senator Glenn Grothman has raised nearly $138,000 for his campaign for the congressional seat held by retiring Representative Tom Petri. A campaign finance report shows Grothman received about $135,000 in individual donations and about $3,000 from political action committees. Grothman faces Republican primary challenges next month from State Senator Joe Leibham, state Representative Duey Stoebel and technical college instructor Tom Denow.

Two people were arrested for repeat drunk driving following separate incidents in Dodge County. Fire destroyed a vehicle in Fond du Lac Wednesday morning. Firefighters were called to the scene at 16 North Brooke Street for a report of an SUV on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished but not before causing heavy damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported.
