LANCASTER, Wis. (AP) â Authorities in southwestern Wisconsin say a 9-year-old boy has died after becoming trapped in a grain bin on his family's farm. The Grant County sheriff's office says crews were sent to the farm outside Lancaster this morning. WKOW-TV reports the boy was helping other family members try to fix an auger in the grain bin when he became trapped.
TOWN OF WINNECONNE, Wis. (AP) — The body of a missing fisherman has been recovered from a lake in Winnebago County. The body of 52-year-old Roger Inderdahl was found near the east shore of Lake Winneconne Wednesday night. The Weyawega man had been missing since Monday when he went fishing. His empty boat was later found running in circles on the lake.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin has appealed a federal judge's ruling from last month striking down the state's ban on same-sex marriages. Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen filed the appeal today. The judge ruled on June 6th that the ban was a violation of gay couples' equal protection and due process rights. More than 500 gay couples got married in the state before the judge put her ruling on hold.
