The Blood Center of Wisconsin is making a plea for Fond du lac area residents to donate blood.  A blood drive is being held Wednesday at the Fond du Lac Forest Mall.  Fond du Lac Community Representative for the Blood Center Tony Servais says there is a great need this time of year for all blood types including o-negative.

Existing home sales in Wisconsin saw positive gains for the first time this year, and median home prices were up slightly according to the most recent housing market report released by the Wisconsin REALTORS® Association (WRA). MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Supreme Court says evidence showing that a man convicted of raping a woman had a prior sexual relationship with her was properly excluded at trial.  The court on Tuesday reversed a state appeals court ruling that found in favor of Muhammad Sarfraz of Milwaukee. 7-23-14 hospital intern-no whistleblower protection

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Wisconsin Supreme Court says a state law protecting health care workers who act as whistleblowers doesn't apply to unpaid interns.  The court ruled Tuesday that a former intern at the Medical College of Wisconsin did not qualify as an employee under the law because she did not receive pay or any benefits even though she worked 40 hours a week.  The court upheld decisions by the […]

7-23-14 junior football league practice field vandalized

Fond du Lac police are investigating a vandalism incident at a Junior Football League practice field.  Assistant police chief Steve Klein says the vandalism incident at Gores Field occurred Sunday evening.  "Some juveniles that were seen on surveillance video apparently pulling up some of the pavers at the Fond du Lac Junior Football League field,  Klein told WFDL news.  "They pulled up these pavers and were smashing them on the ground."

7-23-14 four year old fdl girl struck by car

A four year old Fond du Lac girl escaped serious injury when she was struck by a car.  The incident happened shortly before  noon Tuesday at the intersection of South Main and 11th Streets.  The child was transported to the hospital with what were described as minor injuries.  Police say a car traveling eastbound on 11th Street was turning onto Main Street when the child was struck.  The car driver […]

SLINGER, Wis.
