The Fond du Lac police chief says records will be made public regarding an internal investigation conducted this spring involving several police officers. WFDL news first reported in March that Fond du Lac police were conducting what was described as an active personnel investigation. Sources told WFDL news several officers had been suspended with pay pending the outcome of the investigation. Chief Bill Lamb says the records that will be made public involve officers Rebecca Kollmann, Joel Gudex, Pamela O’hearn, Curt Beck and Kristen Kachelmeier. Gudex, Kachelmeier and Beck have resigned. The chief says he determined that certain information in the report should be redacted after weighing the public’s interest in disclosure against the potential harm to the public interest . The officers have five days to decide whether to seek a court order restraining him from releasing the records.
