todayAugust 11, 2014

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Candidates in a four-way Republican primary to help determine who will succeed retiring U.S. Rep. Tom Petri and the three Democrats squaring off in the attorney general’s race are making a final push for votes.  The two races are the highest profiled on Tuesday’s primary ballot. The winners will advance to the Nov. 4 general election.  Candidates in dozens of state, regional and local races were making a last push Monday for votes. With turnout predicted to be just 15 percent, candidates who can get their base of support to show up will have an advantage. Five of the eight congressional districts have primary races, as well as five of the 17 state Senate districts and 26 of the 99 Assembly districts.
