Authorities have released the name of the victim of a fatal automobile accident in Dodge County. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says 40 year old Kyle Schultz of rural Beaver Dam was killed when he lost control of his vehicle on County G in the town of Calamus and struck a tree. The accidernt happened early Saturday morning. Investigators say speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
