NEENAH, Wis. (AP) — A missing 6-year-old boy found in the Fox River in Neenah has died. Police say Elijah Vanderhoof was in Riverside Park with his mother, older sister and cousins Tuesday afternoon when he went missing about 4:15 p.m. Neenah police responded and began a search. The boy was found in the river about 5:30 p.m. and was taken to Theda Clark Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
