The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says alcohol appears to be a factor in a one vehicle rollover crash that seriously injured two people. Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says the driver 18 year old Burt Derkson of Waupun was ejected from the vehicle on Brown Road near Willow Creek Road. Derkson and a passenger, 17 year old Emily Moore from the Plymouth area were seriously injured. Another passenger, 24 yerar old Esther Derkson received non life-threatening injuries. The crash happened early Monday evening.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
