One person was killed in a three vehicle accident on Highway 41 in Washington County near Kewaskum. The accident happened at about 5:30pm Tuesday. The state patrol says a passenger vehicle was travelling north on 41 when the driver lost control, crossed the median and went into the southbound lanes of 41 striking a flatbed tow truck. The vehicle which crossed over the highway was then struck by a southbound semi unit killing the driver of the car.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
