MENASHA, Wis. (AP) — University of Wisconsin Colleges and Lawrence University have signed a formal partnership agreement to make transferring easier for students. The Appleton-based liberal arts college will provide specialized advising, registration, financial aid information and orientation opportunities to students who decide to transfer from one of the state’s 13 two-year campuses. Lawrence University president Mark Burstein says those students will also receive a $20,000 scholarship. Potential transfer students are able to see how credits will transfer through Lawrence’s website. They can also talk to an official, either in person or through their preferred technological method, to receive additional help with the process. The partnership, which has been in the works for about nine months, will allow between 10 and 15 UW Colleges students to transfer to Lawrence.
