9-26-14 wisconsin-governor’s race

todaySeptember 25, 2014

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A spokesman for Democrat Mary Burke says no changes will be made to her campaign proposals, hours after Burke said at a news conference that she would cite any material that needs attribution. Republicans have accused her of plagiarism.  Burke spokesman Joe Zepecki said Thursday that where cites are appropriate, they have been made.  Sections of Burke’s jobs plan were identical to proposals put forward by four other Democratic gubernatorial candidates. Burke blamed a consultant who she says provided the identical material to all the candidates.  Zepecki says Burke addressed that situation by cutting ties with the consultant and she stands by her plan.
