Flight for Life helicopter is celebrating a milestone this year. Former patients, crew and staff are helping Flight for Life celebrate 30 years of service at three events in September. Flight for Life Fond du Lac base spokesperson, Jayce Commo, says having a helicopter in Fond du Lac is a huge benefit locally. “We’ve transported over 33,000 patients in those 30 years. We do about 12 hundred patients a year,” Commo told WFDL news. “Many lives have been saved due to the helicopter.” Commo says the Fond du Lac the anniversary celebration will be held at 5pm Friday September 26th at the Fond du lac Holiday Inn amd will feature actor Randolph Mantooth who played paramedic Johnny Gage in the 1970s hit television show Emergency.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
