Fond du lac police say the victim in a weekend shooting incident Is not cooperating with investigators. A Fond du Lac man received non life threatening injuries when he was shot in the leg in the 300 block of North Seymour Street early Sunday morning. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says a preliminary investigation has determined that there was an argument before shots were fired. “One of the frustrating things is we’re running into situations where victims and witnesses are reluctant to provide a whole lot of information,” Klein told WFDL news.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
