WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) — A 68-year-old Dorchester farmer faces felony animal mistreatment charges for allegedly killing eight puppies with a sledgehammer.  Terrence Seubert was charged in Marathon County with eight felony counts of mistreatment of animals causing death.  According to the complaint, Seubert told investigators the price to sterilize the dogs' mother was "too high" and he did not want any more puppies running around on the farm.  The complaint […]

(AP) — Wisconsin officials have set up a new process to help people get state identification cards without paying for a birth certificate.  The announcement Wednesday comes after the state Supreme Court last month upheld a law requiring voters to show photo identification at the polls. One person was killed in a three vehicle accident on Highway 41 in Washington County near Kewaskum.  The accident happened at about 5:30pm Tuesday.  The state patrol says a passenger vehicle was travelling north on 41 when the driver lost control, crossed the median and went into the southbound lanes of 41 striking a flatbed tow truck. COLUMBUS, Wis. (AP) — One person has been injured in a fire at a historic apartment building in Columbus.   Fire broke out Tuesday night at the three-story brick Tremont which was built in 1892. Columbus Fire Lt. Jerodd Fox says that 18 of 22 apartments in the building were occupied and residents were evacuated.
