9-29-14 fatal motorcycle crash-victim identified

A Green Bay man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Fond du lac County.  Sheriff’s sergeant Jeff Bonack says the accident happened Friday afternoon on Highwway TC west of Highway M in the town of Springvale.  Bonack says the motorcycle left the road and struck a culvert.  The crash remains under investigation.  The victim was identified as 63 year old Patrick Pichette of Green Bay.

9-26-14 fdl power outage

Thousands of  Fond du lac residents and businesses on the city’s south side were without power for a couple hours this morning after a semi truck struck  a power pole on Morris Street.  The accident happened shortly before 6:30am and has also affected traffic signals at several intersections.  An Alliant Energy spokesperson says power was restored to all but two people by 8:45am.
