MENASHA, Wis. (AP) — University of Wisconsin Colleges and Lawrence University have signed a formal partnership agreement to make transferring easier for students.  The Appleton-based liberal arts college will provide specialized advising, registration, financial aid information and orientation opportunities to students who decide to transfer from one of the state's 13 two-year campuses. DURAND, Wis. (AP) — Eight Durand students are hospitalized and dozens of others are sick with a gastrointestinal illness.  Health officials say test results from at least one person confirm a common foodborne illness called Campylobacter infection that causes flu-like symptoms.  Most of the 30 to 35 sickened students are on the football team. 9-25-14 mother accused of beating,scalding young son

MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) — A Manitowoc woman is accused of beating and scalding her 5-year-old son who has Down syndrome.  A probable cause affidavit says the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department received a call from health care providers at Aurora Medical Center Monday who said the boy had been brought to the center with heavy bruising on his back and scalding burns over half of his body.  The affidavit says the […]

9-25-14 fdl county board approves using sales tax revenue for fcedc revolving loan fund
