Two Ripon men arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Ripon Pick n Save have made their initial Fond du Lac court appearance. Twenty one-year-old Cody M. Schaffer is charged with one felony count of armed robbery, while 17-year-old Tyler W. 9-23-14 dodge county prostitution ring-initial court appearances

Twelve people have officially been charged  in a Dodge County prostitution ring including a Beaver Dam woman and her husband.  Debbie and Daniel Walters of  Beaver Dam, were charged Monday in Dodge County Circuit Court with running a prostitution business out of their home across the street from a church and school.  Debbie Walters faces 32 prostitution related counts.  Daniel Walters, a Dodge Correctional Institution employee,  is charged with three […]

9-23-14 fdl school district tax rate down

The tax rate is down in the proposed Fond du Lac School District budget.  At a public hearing Monday night superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says the budget is balanced and the tax rate is projected to go down.  "We're projecting the budget to go down by 3.5% in terms of the expectations of the taxpayer,"  Sebert said.  That's 35 dollars for the owner of a $100,000 home.  Meanwhile Sebert  told […]

9-23-14 fdl man gets long prison sentence for child sex assault

A Fond du Lac man convicted of sexually assaulting a child is going to prison.  Fond du lac judge Peter Grimm sentenced 65 year old James Clark Sr. to 13 years in prison followed by  15 years extended  supervision.  Clark was earlier convicted of second degree sexual assault of a child.
