BERLIN, Wis. (AP) — A man previously questioned and held in a double homicide in Berlin (BUR’-lin) has been arrested. Berlin police say the 33-year-old man was taken into custody Tuesday night and booked into the Green Lake County Jail on two possible charges of first-degree intentional homicide. Melissa Tuinstra and Justin Daniels were found with multiple gunshot wounds Saturday night in Berlin. The slayings prompted an Amber Alert for Tuinstra’s 8-year-old daughter. She was found unharmed with relatives in Marquette County Sunday.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
