The Marian University Board of Trustees recently appointed three new members. Todd Butz, a 1999 alumnus of Marian, serves as the Vice President of Finance/Controller of MEC, Inc., in Mayville. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and Accounting at Marian University and an MBA at Oklahoma State Troy Schill is a 1994 alumnus of Marian and serves as the Director of Business Unit Finance of Grande Cheese Company in Lomira. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Justin Smith serves as the President and CEO of C.D. Smith Construction, Inc. in Fond du Lac. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration at the University of West Virginia.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
