Flu vaccine clinics are underway throughout Fond du lac County. The Fond du lac County Public Health Office is holding the clinics at locations throughout the county. Public Health officer Kim Mueller says the flu shot or flu-mist is available for $30 a dose. Mueller says early response has been good. Mueller says the public health department will be offering flu vaccine in the schools starting this week. You can check out the influenza clinic schedule on the Public Health deoartment website or if you can’t attend a clinic the vaccine is offered in the Health Department on the 3rd floor of the government center from 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
