The ACLU of Wisconsin says it plans to exhaust all of its legal options in an effort to stop voter photo ID from being implemented for the November election. A three judge panel of a federal appeals court ruled this week that the law is constitutional. ACLU legal director Larry Dupuis tells WFDL news he’s concerned that large numbers of voters aren’t aware of the photo ID law or don’t have time to get an ID and would be turned away unless the appeals court ruling is reversed. Dupuis says ultimately he hopes the U.S. Supreme Court steps in.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
