todayOctober 7, 2014

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to leave Wisconsin’s voter photo identification law in place. The American Civil Liberties Union and other opponents of the law filed a federal lawsuit in 2011 challenging the Republican-authored mandate. The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals last month said the state could implement the law while it considers the case.
