On Tuesday October 7, 2014 at approximately 11:30pm, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office along with Town of Fond du Lac and Van Dyne Fire Departments responded to a structure fire at the Agromatic A.F. Klinzing Company at N6989 Rolling Meadows Drive in the Town of Fond du Lac. Also assisting at the scene was North Fond du Lac Ambulance, Fond du Lac City Police Dept. and fire departments from North Fond du Lac, Oakfield, Rosendale, Eldorado, and Lamartine. The fire was contained to the storage area next to the paint shop. The structure was not occupied and no one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office. The owner of the business is Dean Birschbach

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
