A Campbellsport martial arts instructor accused of sexually assaulting one of his students has been bound over for trial. Forty three year old William Schellinger has waived his preliminary hearing on two counts of second degree sexual assault of a child and one count of repeated sexual assault of the same child. According to a criminal complaint Schellinger had sex with a 15 year old girl on multiple occasions in a back room at the martial arts studio. He is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on $100,000 cash bond.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
