On October 15, 2014 at 6:08 PM the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle roll over crash on Hickory Point Road in the Town of Westford. Investigation revealed that a 2000 Ford F250 truck was north bound on Hickory Point Road when the driver lost control. The truck went into the ditch and overturned. The driver and sole occupant (Paul L. Minnig, 47 years of age from rural Randolph) of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner. Assisting the Sheriff’s Office were Randolph EMS and Fire, Beaver Dam Paramedics, DCERT and the Dodge County Medical Examiner. The crash is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
