The City of Fond du Lac would like to notify the public that due to a major system update/conversion, all City of Fond du Lac financial programs will be unavailable October 23-October 26, 2014. This will include payment processing, account inquiries, building permits, and all similar systems, as well as, online water payments and credit card processing. For your convenience, we ask that our customers please plan around these dates for any upcoming needs. If possible, we ask that in-person payments at the counter be avoided on October 23rd-24th due to the minimal account information that will be available to our cashiers during the update. If a payment must be made during this time, please have your billing statement or payment stub with your complete account number available to ensure proper credit. Any payments received during this time will be processed and posted once our system conversion has been completed.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
