Fond du Lac High School will be pre-selling playoff tickets for Friday night’s 7:00 p.m. WIAA round one playoff game between Janesville Craig and Fond du Lac. Tickets can be purchased at Fond du Lac High School Wednesday (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), Thursday (7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), and Friday (7:30 a.m. to Noon). If you are unable to purchase your tickets ahead of time, you can also buy your ticket at the game. Gates will open for the public at 5:45 p.m. on Friday evening. Ticket prices are $4 for adults and students; children 6 and under get free admission.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
