A truck versus farm tractor accident in Fond du Lac County seriously injured a Waupun man. Sheriff’s sergeant Jeff Bonack says the accident happened shortly before 6am Saturday on County Highway T in the town of Lamartine when the pickup rear ended the tractor. The pickup truck driver, a 51 year old Waupun area man was flown by helicopter to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee with serious injuries. The tractor operator, a 40 year old Fond du lac man was not injured.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
