Fond du Lac High School will be pre-selling playoff tickets for Friday night’s 7:00 p.m. WIAA round two football playoff game between Fond du Lac and Middleton. Tickets can be purchased in the main office at Fond du Lac High School Tuesday through Thursday (7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), and Friday (7:00 a.m. to Noon). If you are unable to purchase your tickets ahead of time, you can also buy your ticket at the game in Middleton with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $4 for adults and students; children 6 and under are $1. The game will be broadcast on 96.1 WTCX with Nick Rusch and live-streamed on the web.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
