MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin company that makes products for use in space is only slightly affected by the launch explosion of a space station supply rocket. A spokesman tells the Wisconsin State Journal that Madison’s Orbital Technologies Corporation, better known as Orbitec, had only external LED lights on the rocket that blew up Tuesday evening off the Virginia coast.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
