10-3-14 fdl drug raid suspects appear in court

Three men arrested in a Fond du lac drug raid this week have been charged.  Twenty year old Dazwan Jones, 39 year old Quentin Huston and 29 year old Miguel West made their initial Fond du lac court appearances this week on various drug related offenses.  Bail was set at $50,000 cash for West, $20,000 cash bond for Jones and $3000 cash bond for Huston.  Police arrested the men following […]

An Oshkosh man who got into a scuffle with a Fond du Lac police officer was in trouble again shortly after he was released from jail.  The man appeared in court and Judge Gary Sharpe ordered a signature bond. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — State health officials say the number of confirmed cases of enterovirus 68 has climbed to five in Wisconsin.  The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says most of the cases involve children, many with asthma or wheezing. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — New data shows the number of workplace deaths is declining in Wisconsin. Ninety-six people died in work-related incidents in 2013 — down from 114 deaths the year before.  A sharp drop in violent occupational deaths is highlighted in the data gathered by the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene. There were 27 violent, work-related deaths in 2012, including 16 homicides. Last year, that number dropped to 11. […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A conservative group has filed a federal lawsuit asking that a Wisconsin law limiting coordination between third party organizations and political candidates be declared unconstitutional.  Citizens for Responsible Government Advocates filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court in Milwaukee on Thursday. 10-2-14 waupun apartment fire

An electrical problem is blamed for an apartment fire in Waupun that displaced the tenant.  There were no injuries in the fire in the upstairs apartment unit above a Radio Shack business in the 300 block of East Main Street Monday night.  Fire and smoke damage was combined to the one unit.  The Red Cross is assisting the tenant with temporary housing.
