10-28-14 oshkosh police make arrest in campus assaults

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Oshkosh police have arrested one of two men they say committed robberies and assaults near the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus. Authorities say a 19-year-old man was arrested Sunday after punching a victim. Officials say a second suspect involved in Sunday's attack and at least two other incidents has not been found.

10-28-14 fdl man arrested for pointing laser at police squad

A 21 year old Fond du Lac man faces charges after allegedly pointing a laser at a police squad car.  Police say the incident happened Sunday morning in the area of 6th and Marr Streets.  Police say an officer driving the squad was concerned that it could be a tactical laser light on a weapon.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin dairy farmers had another record-setting month of milk production in September and are on pace to set a new annual record.  According to the National Agriculture Statistics Service, Wisconsin milk production in September increased 70 million pounds from the previous September's record-setting total of 2.29 billion pounds. 10-28-14 fdl school budget approved

The Fond du Lac School Board has approved a budget that includes a decrease in the tax levy.  Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says the budget includes a 3.8 percent decrease in the levy or nearly $1.3 million less than the 2013-14 budget and a five percent decrease in the Mill rate.  That's a decrease of about $51 on a $100,000 home.  Sebert says the budget is balanced with no cuts […]

10-28-14 dodge county motorcycle fatality victim identified

Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash in Dodge County.  Sheriff Pat Ninman says 22 year old Jerred Gerlach of Horicon was killed Saturday night when his motorcycle struck a power pole following a short chase with a sheriff’s deputy.  Ninmann says the motorcycle reached speeds in excess of 100mph.  Ninmann says alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash near the intersection of […]

10-28-14 teenage brothers die in automobile accident

TOWN OF BUFFALO, Wis. (AP) — Two teenage brothers have died in a highway crash in Marquette County. Eighteen-year-old Tyler Sweeney and his 14-year-old brother, Gunner Sweeney, were killed Sunday evening when their vehicle left Highway 22 in the Town of Buffalo. The older brother lost control of the vehicle which left the road and struck a group of trees. Investigators say both were wearing seat belts.
