A site plan has been reviewed for a new parking lot that will provide 26 spaces for the Retlaw Theater redevelopment project. Community Development Director Dyann Benson says partial demolition of the former Retlaw Theater is complete and final clean-up of the site in preparation for the renovation work is underway. Meanwhile Benson says the partial demolition and roofing work at the former Wells Manufacturing site is complete. Transfer of the property and site work will begin in 2015.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
