Fire heavily damaged a Fond du Lac business Wednesday night. On November 19th, 2014 at 11:35pm, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and the Town of Fond du Lac Fire Department were dispatched to Carls Cars located at N6594 N Rolling Meadows Drive for a structure fire. The business had extensive damage which included a couple of customer’s vehicles that were inside the building for repairs. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Town of Fond du Lac Fire Department and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office. Also assisting with the fire were Van Dyne, Lamartine, Eldorado, and City of Fond du Lac Fire Departments along with Fond du Lac City Ambulance. No one was injured fighting the fire.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
