Bail was set at $10,000 cash for a Fond du Lac man arrested following a violent domestic incident. Carlos Flores Jr. made his initial Fond du Lac Court appearance on 16 misdemeanor domestic abuse related charges and one felony count of false imprisonment. According to a criminal complaint Flores violently attacked a woman over a period of about an hour kicking her, pulling her hair and hitting her multiple times in the back of the head. The incident happened November 17th at a South Military Road residence.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
