11-24-14 nfdl facilities study findings

todayNovember 22, 2014

The School District of North Fond du Lac is currently conducting a facility study of all of the District’s buildings and grounds. The District does not currently have a long term facilities plan and look to create a comprehensive facility and budget plan to meet any needs for the years to come. The District is also focused on developing a plan for maintenance needs (roofs, parking lots, windows, etc.).  In August, the Board of Education hired Bray Architects to conduct a comprehensive facility study to be utilized by the Board of Education for decision making related to educational programming and other future facility needs. To this date, Bray has conducted two site visits.  On Monday, November 24th at 5:15pm, Bray Architects will present the preliminary findings of the buildings and grounds needs assessments to the Board of Education and get the Board’s preliminary input on any future long term, strategic building and grounds plan. Also at this meeting, the Board will begin to shape a Facility and Budget Committee to look at using the initial findings of Bray and developing a long term Building and Facility Plan.  The School District of North Fond du Lac invites you to this meeting to hear the initial results and ideas, as well as be part of the development of a committee that will be charged to provide a much needed road map for the future needs of our facilities to best impact student growth and achievement in a safe, welcoming environment
