The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victims of a a fatal two vehicle crash over the weekend. The sheriff’s office says 29 year old Jesse Becker of Lake Mills was pronounced dead at the scene early Saturday morning on Highway 151 south of North Salem Road in the town of Calamus. The sheriff’s office says Becker was driving a car southbound in the northbound lanes of 151 when he collided with a northbound pickup operated by 26 year old Beaver Dam woman. Stephanie Sass was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Investigators say alcohol may be a factor in the crash.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
