The Fond du Lac city council has approved the annexation of property for residential development. Community development director Dyann Benson says the two acre parcel of land in the town of Fond du Lac is owned by Revest at W5149 Rienzi Road. Initiator of the petition is Jeffrey Berenz on behalf of Revest. Benson said the property is located within a City Growth Area under an intergovernmental agreement with the surrounding towns, meaning that it is intended to be annexed to the City.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
