A Ripon man is being honored for risking his life to save another.  Twenty five year old Robert Knoll has been chosen to receive the prestigious Carnegie Medal.  Knoll was honored for risking his life to save an Oshkosh man from being run over by a train in Oshkosh in July of last year.  Knoll grabbed an unconscious man and dragged him off the tracks moments before the freight train […]

11-6-14 town of trenton fire

Nobody was injured in a fire that significantly damaged a Town of Trenton home.  A man inside the home  on Highway 68 was able to escape before Waupun firefighters arrived on the scene.  The fire caused damage to the kitchen and second floor bedroom.  The Red Cross is helping the resident find a place to stay.

The Fond du lac Convention and Visitors Bureau has received a major grant from the state to help market tourism.  Wisconsin Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett will present the Bureau on November 19th with a $40,000 grant.  Fond du Lac Area Convention and Visitors Bureau chief Craig Molitor says the money will be used to promote winter activities.  According to a tourism press release in 2013, the tourism economy in Wisconsin […]
