OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — The FBI is investigating a University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh student after two professors became concerned that he might be trying to make the deadly toxin ricin. The investigation came to light when a search warrant was filed in Winnebago County Circuit Court. Ricin is a powdery substance that can cause respiratory failure if inhaled.
