A portion of County Road “VVV” / Rolling Meadows Drive will be closed to traffic from Holiday Lane to County Road “D” on Monday November 3, 2014 for water service work.  The closure is expected to last one day.  There will be no detour posted.

11-1-14 free flu shots for veterans

The American Legion, Salute the Troops and Walgreens are offering free flu shots for Fond du Lac County veterans.  The free flu vaccines will be available Sunday from 10am to 3pm at the American Legion on Fond du lac Avenue.  The event is free for veterans of all  branches of military service.  Proof of status is required.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican Gov. Scott Walker and Democratic challenger Mary Burke say turnout will be the key to victory in Tuesday's election. WESTON, Wis. (AP) — Governor Scott Walker says the latest attack ad by his Democratic challenger Mary Burke shows she is desperate as the election nears and a poll shows her trailing by 7 points. Burke's ad accused a former Trek Bicycles executive of lying when he said Burke was fired by her family's business. The ad highlights a swastika the person had posted on his Facebook page.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Department of Justice has appealed an order to release videos of training seminars Republican attorney general Brad Schimel gave for prosecutors to Democrats. Democrats believe Schimel made inappropriate remarks at five DOJ-run training seminars since 2009. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A federal report says the number of homeless people has declined slightly in Wisconsin. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development report to Congress comes from a one-night count by local homeless advocacy agencies.
