A Fond du Lac man convicted of helping to supply the heroin that led to the death of a Fond du Lac County man is going to prison. Fond du Lac Judge Gary Sharpe has sentenced Jason Van Norman to ten years in prison and ten years extended supervision on a charge of first degree reckless homicide. The judge ordered a concurrent prison sentence on a charge of delivery of heroin. Other counts in a separate case were dismissed and read into the record. Van Norman is the second person convicted in the case..and a third individual, the alleged dealer, was recently charged. Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney says all of the players in this case have one common denominator…they are all heroin addicts. Van Norman supplied the heroin that led to the death of Devin Perry. Before he was sentenced Van Norman apologized for his role in Perry’s death.
