On Monday December 8th, 2014 at 5:42 pm, the Fond du Lac County Communication Center received a call of a 1 vehicle traffic crash with injuries on CTH H near USH 45 in the Township of Empire. The vehicle was traveling westbound CTH H when it failed to negotiate the curve due to icy road conditions. The driver of the vehicle lost control striking the guardrail causing the vehicle to overturn, ejecting the driver. The driver, a 31 year old Eden woman was transported to St. Agnes Hospital with critical injuries. Three other occupants in the vehicle; ages 13, 12 and 8 were transported to St. Agnes Hospital with minor injuries. Assisting at the scene were Eden Fire Department, City of Fond du Lac Paramedics and Fire Department, Campbellsport Ambulance and Eden First Responders. The accident remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
